Simul-State™ exists at the Vortex of tube and MOS FET technology
Simul-State™ operates as a power block of tube-driven MOS FETs providing lightweight, high power, two-space portability.  More than a token 12AX7, this scheme is the BASIS for a whole new sound.  Viewed from the helm, the pilot sees two fully evolved preamps - one tube, one solid state.  Each channel includes a complete set of five rotary controls, a 9-band auto assignable Graphic EQ, Bright switches and dedicated shelving compression. The tube channel is equipped with a high-gain overdrive mode; the solid state channel includes a semi-parametric bass filter that can be selected for four or five string instruments, tuning the lows for your fundamental.
Footswitching goes beyond mere channel selection:  The M-2000™ brings the two channels together to personalize a new sound - all yours - when you call up a blend in the Mix Mode.  A pan control, front and center, determines the ratio of the preamp channels.  For example, use the Mix Mode to combine the clean focus of the Field Effect Channel with a touch of overdrive Gain from the Tube Channel.  Or any combination. Shelving compression per channel allows you to select the frequency and determine the ratio, thus expanding the menu of Mix Mode options.  So many possibilities...get the Field Effect pumping, leave the Tube side fully dynamic and blend to taste.
An FX Loop with adjustable crossover frequency lets you add effects where you want them and keep the rest of the spectrum pure.  It also doubles as an output source for bi-amping.  A massive toroidal power transformer supplies 12 musically industrial MOS FETs mounted in a fan cooled heat sink tunnel for 2000 watts of peak power.  RMS rating exceeds 600 watts into 4 ohms.

Ibanez delivers tons of sustain and plenty of low end.

It's difficult to imagine increasing the amount of sustain the Ibanez BTB has to offer, but with the added mass and stability afforded by this unique single cutaway reworking, the BTB Terra Firma gives you just that. Capitalizing on the shortened distance from the body to headstock, string vibration is optimized beyond anything Ibanez has ever achieved before.

Upper Horn
This extended Upper Horn creates constant contact with the Maple/Bubinga neck from the 12th to the 24th fret, providing maximum stability and increased sustain.

Contoured Neck Scoop
The back of the neck is sculpted for comfort and easy access to the very highest notes on the C string. The smooth, graceful contour allows the palm of the left hand to move quickly and easily as it transitions up the neck, into the underside of the bass's Ash body.

5pc BTB-6 Maple/Bubinga 35" Scale Thru-Neck
The Maple/Bubinga combination creates one of the strongest Thru-Necks available. The density of the Bubinga, combined with the strength of the Maple, increases stability and sustain through the entire body of the bass. The 35" scale provides a bit more tension for the low B and improves definition in the lower range.

Mono-Rail II bridge
The Mono-Rail bridge delivers the ultimate in string-to-string isolation, allowing each string to vibrate optimally without being affected by the others. The Terra Firma's string spacing is 17mm, offering more freedom on the fretboard and easy access for finger picking and slapping.

Bartolini BH1-6 Pickups
Balancing clarity with warmth is the hallmark of the Bartolini BH1-6 pickup. Coils with lower resonant frequency provide tighter bottom end and a fuller midrange. The dual-coil style configuration maximizes articulation and a long blade pole piece widens the magnetic field, providing balanced string-to-string pickup response.

EBQ-IIIS 3-Band EQ With Mid Frequency Switch
The active 3-band EQ features fully independent bass, treble and mid controls with a wide boost/cut range. The preamp system is equipped with a mid-frequency select switch, enabling you to instantly select 250Hz or 600Hz, the heart of the mid zone, for a more dynamic and ideal tone.

Powerful humbuckers and Korina is magical with guitars, just like ‘buckers and Mahogany. But how about a ballsy MFD humbucker-equipped bass? Fact is, Leo Fender had known for years that Mahogany and G&L MFD bass humbuckers are a delicious combination; in fact, the earliest L-2000s had Mahogany bodies for deep, warm tones. Naturally, the Custom Creations crew had to try Leo's MFD 'buckers and Tri-Tone active/passive preamp system with Korina, and what better way to round out the Korina Collection than with an ASAT Bass? Turns out the Korina-bodied ASAT Bass bridges the gap between the depth of mahogany and the focused midrange of Alder, a tasty destination where punchy funk and heavy rock riffs reside. Take it from bassist Steve Grom, G&L Director of Manufacturing and lead Custom Creations member, "This is one badass ASAT Bass." Includes hardshell case. 10.05 pounds.

The Hofner 500/1 is closely associated with Paul McCartney and the Beatles. Paul's use of this bass in the early '60s propelled Hofner sales and turned the 500/1 into an absolutely iconic instrument. When German-made Hofner instruments were distributed in the United Kingdom, they were given model names to go along with their model numbers, and the 500/1 was dubbed the Violin Bass. It is also commonly referred to as the Beatles Bass. This design has been imitated by a number of other makers since including Vox and Greco.

Here for your drool factor appreciation is a beautiful and hard to find Translucent Blonde 1973 Fender Precision Bass with maple fretless fretboard! This bass Plays. Like. Butter. This bass has great action, and is strung with black ribbon flat wounds. The fretboard was seemingly refinished, but looks to have been professionally done. Body has two small finish chips and has checking typical of this vintage of bass. Overall the finish is smooth and retains most of its original gloss. A second thumb rest was added on the bass side, but otherwise the hardware is all original and rust free. Electronics are all original. Fodera NYC 4 Preowned

Veillette Paris preowned
Our Price: $2,900.00
Beautiful Preowned Fodera NYC 4. Gorgeous flame top and birdseye maple fingerboard. Our flagship Paris model neatly bridges the gap between the conventional electric bass and the classic acoustic upright. Visually, tonally, and ergonomically, the Paris combines the best elements of both instruments, resulting in a bass that can fill the roles of both, as well as creating new and unique sounds.
The gorgeous, woody tone of our unique chambered, piezo-powered design gives electric bassists new dimensions of texture and feel, and our powerful and intuitive electronics system allows tremendous variety without excessive knobs and switches.
The Paris features the same gracefully curved top as our Swift guitars, which thins the edges of the body for greater comfort and reduced weight. Our signature wooden bridge keeps the undersaddle piezo pickup in direct contact with wood at all times, maximizing the natural 'acoustic' response of these basses. The unique 'dovetail' bridge/tailpiece also couples directly with the body wood, solidly anchoring the strings and transferring vibration to and from the body with no interruptions or impediments.
MTD US CRB PROTOTYPE! Circa 2011? This is truly a unique piece from the mind behind so many modern bass designs and innovations. To our knowledge, only 3 or 4 of these exist. Michael Tobias built these as design prototypes for the Kingston CRB's available today. As you can tell from the pictures, this bass is very different from what became of the production Kingston CRB. The CRB was Michael Tobias' interpretation of the Precision bass design. This PJ is the ONLY MTD US that I have personally seen with the PJ pickup configuration.
This bass is pristine, and very lightweight. Only the slightest shine around the controls, and a small pencil tip ding on the top and near the upper horn (impossible to photograph) betray this as preowned. Frets are very clean and free of wear.
