The Emperor 6 Standard (E6S) is the very first six-sting addition to the family of Fodera standards. It draws upon the same specifications used on the Emperor 5 Standard -- a super premium two-tone Flame Maple top on an Ash body with a one-piece quartersawn, Hard Rock Maple neck and Pau Ferro fingerboard. Something unique about this particular Instrument is that its inception was due in large part to you, our customers, and your continued calls for a six string standard. This bass is equipped Fodera Dual Coil Pickups and out Fodera / Pope Standard 3-band Preamp. Scale length is 34 inches and string spacing is 17.5mm at the bridge. We take great pride in the fact that we have the kind of relationship with our customers that allows us to respond to their needs directly when the opportunity presents itself, and we sincerely hope we have done so in the instance.
Overall, our goals for the E6S were identical to what we strove to achieve with the E5S – tonal flexibility, outstanding playability and the pro-player reliability that has been one of the hallmarks of Fodera for over thirty years.
